Responsible gambling policy
Our formal obligations under the Northern Territory code and the National Consumer Protection Framework.
Puntaa Pty Ltd, trading as PiklBet, is licensed to conduct the business of a sports bookmaker in the Northern Territory. License Number: NT-RWC-SB-2017-0412. We are bound by the Northern Territory Code of Practice for Responsible Online Gambling and by the National Consumer Protection Framework for Online Wagering.
Commitments
- Every customer sets a deposit limit before their first bet. Reductions take effect immediately; increases are held for a seven-day cooling-off period.
- Activity statements are provided automatically and on request, showing deposits, withdrawals, turnover and net position.
- No credit is offered, no money is lent, and credit cards, credit-related products and digital currency are not accepted for deposits.
- No inducement to open an account, refer a person, or continue betting is advertised.
- Marketing ceases immediately and permanently on take-a-break, limit reduction, account closure or BetStop registration.
- Staff are trained to recognise indicators of gambling harm and to act on them.
- BetStop registrations are checked at sign-up and enforced continuously.
- Responsible gambling messaging appears on every page and in every communication.
Customer interaction
Where account activity shows indicators of harm: a sharp escalation in deposits, repeated limit-increase attempts, betting through the night, or deposits immediately following a large loss. Our staff are required to act. That means a direct, non-promotional contact setting out the available controls and the support services. It never means an offer, a credit, or an incentive to keep betting.
Staff training
All customer-facing staff complete responsible gambling training before they take a first contact, and refresh it annually. Training covers the indicators of harm, the interaction procedure, the tools available, and the referral pathway to Gambling Help Online.
Advertising standards
- No advertising during restricted live sport broadcast periods.
- No advertising in media directed at, or likely to appeal primarily to, people under 18.
- No depiction of gambling as a route to financial security or social success.
- No use of current sporting identities in a way that promotes betting.
- Every advertisement carries a responsible gambling message and the 18+ mark.
Review
This policy is reviewed annually, and after any material change to the Northern Territory code or the National Consumer Protection Framework. The date of the last review is shown at the top of this page.
