NRL, Origin and the finals
The full market list for every round, how each one settles, and when prices go up.
When markets open
Head to head and line markets for the coming round go up on Monday morning, before team lists are named. Player markets follow on Tuesday afternoon once the twenty-two is lodged, and everything is reviewed again after Thursday’s final team confirmation. Prices move across the week. That is the point of opening them early.
The market list
| Market | What it covers | Settles on |
|---|---|---|
| Head to head | Which side wins the match | Full time including golden point |
| Line | Margin handicap applied to one side | Full time score with the handicap applied |
| Total points | Combined points scored by both teams | Full time including golden point |
| Winning margin | Banded margin ranges | Full time margin |
| First try-scorer | First player to score a try | First try only; void if the player does not take the field |
| Anytime try-scorer | Any try in the match | All tries; void if the player does not take the field |
| Half-time / full-time | Result at both points | Both periods, excluding golden point |
| Winning method | Try, penalty goal or field goal for the deciding score | The final scoring play |
State of Origin
All three games are priced from the moment squads are announced, with series markets running alongside. Origin draws more one-off account activity than any other fixture on the Australian calendar, which is exactly why we hold the same deposit-limit prompts and the same absence of inducement advertising over that period as we do in Round 4.
If you only bet three times a year and all three are Origin, that is still worth a deposit limit. Set it before game one rather than after game two.
Finals and the premiership
Futures on the premiership, the minor premiership, the wooden spoon and the Dally M open before Round 1 and stay up all season. Finals markets follow the same structure as the regular season, with the addition of the qualifying, elimination and preliminary brackets.
Settlement and disputes
NRL markets settle on the official result published by the National Rugby League. Where a match is abandoned before full time, head to head and line markets are voided and total points markets settle only if the total has already been exceeded at the point of abandonment. If you disagree with a settlement, our complaints process is set out in full and starts with an email to support.
- Voided bets are returned to your account balance within one business day.
- A settlement that is corrected after the fact is corrected in both directions. We do not keep an error that favoured us.
- Disputes you are not satisfied with can be escalated to the Northern Territory Racing Commission.
